RECOMMENDER

Today I came across a new iPad app. The app is called recommender, it was only released today and rated 4+. the app costs $8.99 and it has been designed to get more customers for a business in any industry where direct customer contact is present via recommendations. This app allows customers to recommend the business to all their friends on Facebook. The app is fairly easy to use, it just requires the business to have a iPod touch, iPad, or iPhone and download the application. An employee of the organization needs to approach satisfied customers and by customers entering their Facebook details an recommendation for the business is sent out to all the customers friends. the advantage of this new application is that businesses can easily, cheaply and efficiently grow their customer base and also customers in the market would would have knowledge about the business from friends rather then strangers. there are however a few disadvantages of this type of technology as it requires customers to login with their secure information, the application is safe however some customers may be hesitant and also their is not place for negative criticism for unsatisfied customers.

My little cousin.

I have a three years old little cousin, he is smart and very funny when he say something (I guess that apply to any kids at that age). What happened is this: he comes to my house every day, when he is about to leave, he will have to go and say goodbye to me and my family. Every times he comes to my room and say goodbye, I would tell him to come near me and let me hug him, he will sometime let me hug him but most of the time he just turn back and run away. Nothing special until yesterday, everything just like usual, he came and stay for dinner and before he left, he said goodbye to everyone, he came and say bye to me, before I could say anything, he said “I don’t want hug”(I translated literally), then he ran out of the house. He left me there laughing with my family.

2011 NBA Playoffs 1st Round

My picks for the 1st round starting tomorrow

Eastern Conference:

Chicago Bulls (1) vs Indiana Pacers (8)
4-0 Bulls. The Bulls should take this in 4 games. Pacers will have trouble covering the game spreads let alone winning straight up.

Miami Heat (2) vs Philadelphia 76ers (7)
4-2 Heat. Philly is a young team with a deep rotation that can give the Heat some issues... but not enough to take the series from Miami.

Boston Celtics (3) vs New York Knicks (6)
4-3 Boston. Theres been a lot of talk about the C's being washed up, but I think they get it done this series. The Knicks inferior defence will be exposed.

Orlando Magic (4) vs Atlanta Hawks (5)
4-2 Orlando. Hawks might be scrubs, but they tend to match up well with the Magic, should be able to take 2 games.

Western Conference:

San Antonio Spurs (1) vs Memphis Grizzlies (8)
4-3 Memphis. Predicting the upset here, especially with Ginobi's injury. The Grizzlies led the league this season in scoring in the paint, which is a vital statistic against the Spurs undersized bigs barring Tim Duncan.

Los Angeles Lakers (2) vs New Orleans Hornets (7)
4-1 Lakers. Although the Grizzlies are the 8th seed, its the Hornets that are the weakest team in the west. With the loss of David West, this is a gimme for the Lakers.

Dallas Mavericks (3) vs Portland Trail Blazers (4)4-2 Blazers. Another upset, post-trade, the Blazers are a legit tough contender that will give the soft Mavs a tough time.

Oklahoma City Thunder (4) vs Denver Nuggets (5)
4-3 Thunder. This will be a really close series, the Thunder are a complete team after acquiring Perkins and the Nuggets have a roster that can start any of 9 players. Nuggets have the 3rd best record in the league post Melo trade.

Saigon

Believed it or not, this is just a small number of motorbikes on the road.
I met a friend who’s living in Vietnam online today. Nothing seems to be out of ordinary over there, but she did mention that it is a pain to go outside as there are too many people on the road. I knew that much but I’ve never thought of how many people are there in Saigon (HO CHI MINH CITY). So I did a bit of research and make a comparison to Sydney, Saigon area is only one sixth of that of Sydney but the population is as high as twice the amount of population in Sydney. Sound impressive, huh? But I found one thing that is really interesting though. There are more than 1 million vehicles running in the city everyday and its vehicles I’m talking about, not people. The city seems very little for that many people but it’s a very lively city. If you have never experienced the feeling of being in the middle of sea of people, you should visit there sometimes. You may think that it's stupid but I think it's worth a try. :)

NBA: Boston Celtics at Miami Heat

Final score: Celtics 77 - Heat 100

Checked this game out this morning... blowout revenge game for the Heat despite a 8-0 run by Boston start the 1st quarter. After ending the series 3-1 against the Heat, the Celtics have now lost 4 straight on the road, despite the return of Jermain O'Neal from injury.

Another solid game by Lebron, putting up 27pts on 11 of 19 shooting, as well as 5 boards, 7 assists, and 4 steals.

Rondo and Allen failed to produce in this game, and the results show this.

The Celtics need to find their rhythm going into the playoffs when the regular season ends this week... or they might struggle to even make it past the first round.
